Since 1936, the Audubon Camp in Maine has offered environmental education programs for adults, teens, families and conservation leaders on Hog Island in Muscongus Bay, Maine.

“I have been to many places all over the USA. I have attended many bird outings, conferences, and conventions in the last 25 years. This was the best...5 stars!"

We are pleased to offer a diversity of residential programs for 2012 on the legendary Audubon Camp in Maine programs on Hog Island. The sessions are taught by some of the country’s leading birders, scientists, authors and environmental educators.

The Maine Seabird Biology and Conservation programs provide opportunities to work directly in the field with Project Puffin biologists on important seabird colony islands. New for 2012, we are bringing back a week of Family Camp and a special Fall Migration session, featuring an overnight trip to Monhegan Island.

Building on the traditions of Hog Island’s legendary ornithology instructors, Roger Tory Peterson and Allan D. Cruickshank, today’s instructors are world-class ornithologists and enthusiastic teachers. Group sizes of 10 to 15 participants ensure personalized instruction for all.

Accommodations at Hog Island are in authentic early-20th-century buildings at the edge of the sea. Our renowned chef, Janii Laberge, serves extraordinary meals in an historic farmhouse that looks out onto Muscongus Bay.

Meet our instructors! Instructors for each session are listed on the program pages.
