Sample Daily ScheduleHog Island Helm from the Water

The following schedule is typical for most Hog Island program days. All of the trips are optional. For most birding trips and all workshops, the group will be divided in to smaller groups. All program elements are optional; you are welcome to rest and take time to explore the island during your session.

6:00 to 7:00am - Early morning bird hike or activity (e.g. bird banding)
7:00am - Breakfast
8:30 to 11:30am - Morning field trips and workshops (choices)
12:00pm - Lunch
1:30 to 4:30pm - Afternoon field trips and workshops (choices)
6:00pm - Dinner
7:15pm - Short topic (e.g. migration, song, courtship, nesting)
8:00-10:00pm - Evening program, guest speakers
